Electrical Plant Maintenance Engineer required on a long term project in the Coleshill area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electro-mechanical equipment within our plant, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively. This role requires a strong background in fault finding, problem-solving and the ability to work with advanced technologies. Previous experience working with Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Human Form Recognition (HFR) systems is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation & Maintenance:
1. Install, maintain, and repair electro-mechanical plant equipment, ensuring all systems function optimally.
2. Integrate and configure Global Positioning Systems (GPS) within the plant's operations.
3. Integrate and configure Human Form Recognition (HFR) systems within the plant's operations.
4. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime.
2. Troubleshooting & Repair:
1. Diagnose and resolve issues with plant equipment, utilizing strong fault-finding skills.
2. Address malfunctions in GPS and HFR systems promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
3. Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify and implement effective solutions.
3. Technical Expertise:
1. Stay updated on the latest advancements in GPS and HFR technologies.
2. Provide technical support and guidance to the team on the integration and maintenance of these systems.
3. Assist in the development and implementation of new processes and technologies to improve plant efficiency.
4. Documentation & Reporting:
1. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
2. Prepare detailed reports on equipment performance, identifying areas for improvement.
3. Communicate effectively with management and other departments regarding equipment status and needs.
5. Safety & Compliance:
1. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory standards.
2. Ensure all equipment and systems comply with industry regulations and company policies.
3. Participate in safety training and contribute to a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
1. Education & Experience:
1. Level 3 NVQ Plant Maintenance / Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a plant technician, with experience in GPS and HFR systems.
Overtime When Available:
1. Monday – Friday – Time and a third after 10 hours
2. Saturday & Sunday – Time and a half
