Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team in a vibrant, supportive care environment in Northolt. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of service users while also supporting the day-to-day operational management of the service.
The Deputy Manager will assist in the delivery of high-quality care and ensure that the service is compliant with Ofsted regulations, promoting a positive environment for both residents and staff. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, caring, and supportive environment, leading a team of care staff to ensure exceptional standards of care are delivered at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Home Manager with the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring it meets all Ofsted standards and regulations.
2. Provide leadership and supervision to care staff, supporting their development and ensuring high standards of care are upheld.
3. Monitor and evaluate the care provided to residents, ensuring their needs are met and care plans are followed.
4. Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare and safety policies, including CQC and Ofsted guidelines.
5. Support the recruitment, training, and development of the care team.
6. Help manage budgets and resources efficiently, ensuring the service operates within its financial parameters.
7. Ensure effective communication between all staff members, residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
8. Assist with the administration of medication and care documentation in line with NMC standards.
9. Promote a positive working environment, encouraging staff engagement and high morale.
Key Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or in a similar senior role within the care home or healthcare industry.
2. Experience working with Ofsted and familiarity with its regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
3. Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with residents, families, and staff.
5. Knowledge of safeguarding practices and ensuring compliance with care home regulations.
6. Experience with care planning, risk assessments, and medication administration.
7. A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for improving the lives of those in your care.
8. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care (preferred).
