Post: Accounts Assistant
Salary: Scale 3 / 4 - £24,222 - £28,653
Hours: 37 hours per week

Do you have experience of working within an Accounts environment? Do you possess knowledge on invoice processing and supplier management? Do you have a keen eye for detail, and a customer focused approach?
If so, this role could be right for you.
As an Accounts Assistant you will play an important role in ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and within specified timeframes to meet service level agreements. In addition, you will also ensure that customers are invoiced promptly, and that income is recovered in line with the organisation’s terms and conditions.
In post, some of your duties will include:
• Preparing the weekly payment run
• Assisting with month and year end closure of modules
• Liaising with colleagues and stakeholders, building strong relationships and providing advice on processes and procedures
• Prompt processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Providing management reports
We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate a ‘can do attitude’, have good communication skills, and a flexible approach. Although not essential it would be advantageous for candidates to have experience of using Oracle ERP or a similar accounting system. You will work as part of a small but busy team, so a track record of working to deadlines, with an ability to prioritise appropriately is key.
