Head of Product Chester | Hybrid (Tues & Wed in office) | £85,000 - £90,000 6-month FTC High chance of going perm Are you a product leader who thrives on fixing broken processes, aligning teams, and tackling tough vendor relationships head-on? This is not your standard Head of Product role. We need someone who can walk into a challenging but exciting environment, quickly assess whats working (and what isnt), build trust with stakeholders, and drive real change. Youll be leading product for a well-established finance business, working with a critical but difficult third-party tech provider while rebuilding confidence in an under-supported internal team. Whats the challenge? - Own & drive product strategy Lead the roadmap, align with the business, and push for innovation. - Fix a tough vendor relationship The core platform is managed by a difficult third party, and we need someone who can build trust and transparency with them while keeping them accountable. - Rebuild the internal product team This small but talented team has lacked strong leadership. Your job? Give them their confidence back and set a clear direction. - Stakeholder management is everything Senior leadership needs a strong communicator who can cut through the noise, understand priorities, and get buy-in. - Deliver a complex platform migration The business is moving to a new core system, and its not been smooth sailing. Youll need to bring structure, clarity, and direction. What youll need to smash this role: - 7-8 years in Product Management in tech, fintech or ideally SaaS. - A track record of managing tough third-party relationships You know how to influence, push back, and drive results. - Excellent stakeholder management skills Youre great at navigating internal politics, getting buy-in, and making things happen. - Experience leading a team Coaching, mentoring, and bringing out the best in people. - Strong commercial mindset You understand product, but you also get the business side and can drive real impact. - Agile, data-driven, and customer-focused You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments. The Details Location: Chester (youll need to be in the office every Tuesday & Wednesday). Contract: 6-month FTC but with a very high chance of going permanent there after. Salary: £85,000 - £90,000.
