The Role:
We're on the lookout for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. You’ll lead a diverse range of projects from brief to build, working closely with clients, designers, fabricators, and crew to ensure seamless delivery. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that requires strong technical understanding, sharp organisational skills, and a calm head under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage scenic build projects from initial brief through to installation
* Liaise with clients, designers, and production managers to interpret and deliver creative vision
* Oversee schedules, budgets, materials, and workshop resources
* Coordinate internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring high-quality output
* Plan and supervise installs both in the UK and abroad (including shipyards and onboard ships)
* Ensure health & safety and compliance procedures are followed throughout
* Problem-solve quickly and effectively during all stages of a project
About You:
* Proven experience managing scenic construction projects for theatre, live events and/or cruise ships
* Solid understanding of scenic materials, fabrication techniques, and rigging/logistics
* Excellent communication and client-handling skills
* Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
* Comfortable reading and interpreting technical drawings
* Willing to travel occasionally for site visits and installs
* A team player with a positive, solution-focused mindset
Bonus Points for:
* CAD or technical drawing experience
* IOSH or similar H&S certification
* Knowledge of marine compliance or working in shipyard environments
