Job summary Birdham ward is a busy 27 bedded Diabetes, endocrine and Vascular ward. We work closely with Brighton Hospital, TVN and Vascular specialist nurses as well as the close MDT. There are 3 consultants 1 Ward Manager and 4 deputy sisters / charge nurse who help maintain high standards of care to our patients and support to our junior members of the team. As the Deputy Ward Sister/Charge Nurse you will be responsible for assisting with the budget management of the ward, staff performance, appraisals, STAM and other daily tasks. We are passionate about continuously improving patient care, quality improvements and supporting staff with their development and training. We work closely with practice development and encourage new ideas to enhance patient experience as well as staff's health and wellbeing. Main duties of the job Within Diabetes and Endocrine at St Richards we have an opportunity for you. We are a dynamic, inclusive, supportive team, within Birdham Ward. We are currently seeking a caring enthusiastic nurse with a 'can do' positive approach to fill our Band 6 positions to complement our positive team culture. Our wards are 27-beds ward which specialises in Diabetes and Endocrine working closely with our MDT and our colleagues at Brighton Hospital. You will need to demonstrate a keen interest in Diabetes care have an ability to engage with our patients, visitors, loved ones and families, and confidently liaise with our extended MDT is essential.
