Our client in Medway City Estate is looking for an accounts assistant for their Finance Department on a temporary basis which could lead to a permanent position.
You will be responsible for day-to-day operations of accounting and other records, particularly focusing on purchase ledger.
Your duties will include:
1. Purchase ledger postings
2. Supplier statement reconciliations
3. Preparation for payment run
4. Generation of remittance advices
5. Assisting in the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including ad-hoc duties
About you:
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Word / Excel
* Ability to manage own workload
* Good communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
* Team player
* Experience with Exchequer accounting software (desirable)
* Hold or working towards an accounting qualification
This is a Monday to Friday role from 08:30 to 16:45. The role pays £11.44-£12.90 per hour (depending on experience).
