Applications are invited for a 12 months part time Senior Research Associate position within the Barker lab (with possible extension subject to funding). The lab works at the interface of clinical and laboratory science, aiming to better understand the clinical heterogeneity of Huntington's disease and the underlying biological basis of this, with a view to developing more targeted and personalized therapies. The successful candidate will contribute to an expanding programme of research investigating the need for neuropsychological support for Huntington's disease patients. The role will focus particularly on collecting relevant data to compile a business case to fund neuropsychological support for Huntington's disease patient in the long term. In addition, they will have the opportunity to provide neuropsychological support for a small number of HD patients under the Addenbrooke's Neuropsychology department. We seek applicants with a PhD in neurodegenerative diseases, and relevant experience and specialist knowledge in the field of Huntington's disease. The successful candidate will ideally have 3 years of postdoctoral experience in neurodegenerative diseases. The post holder will work within a close clinical and scientific team of clinical trial coordinators, doctoral students, post-doctoral researchers and clinicians. They will be expected to work in a team environment and to support and contribute to other related collaborative projects.
