Building Control Surveyor\nLeicestershire\nPermanent\n£40,000 - £60,000 (DOE) + Execllent Benefits\nThe Client\nOur client is a well-established client who provide building control services on a variety of domestic, residential, commercial and industrial projects. To work with homeowners, builders, architects and agents to ensure that any work carried out complies with Building Regulations and associated legislation; this includes providing practical advice and guidance where necessary.\nThe Responsibilities\n * To provide pre-application advice to clients / potential clients in relation to Building Regulations.\n * Assess and set fees ensuring that the scope of work is agreed with the client.\n * Generate quotations.\n * Vet applicable documents to ensure compliance with the Building Regulations and associated statutory legislation and guidance.\n * Carry out plan checks to ensure compliance with Building Regulations.\n * Carry out site inspections of work to ensure compliance with Building Regulations.\n * Ensure that all projects and inspection records, etc. are accurately recorded on the company database.\n * Carry out all duties in accordance with the Company’s QA procedures.\n * Develop and maintain excellent internal and external stakeholder relationships.\n * Participate in training as necessary to remain up to date with new systems of work and legislation and to ensure continuous improvement.\n * Support new members of staff on Company Database, Company systems and processes, etc.\n * Provide support and advice to new and existing members of staff on Building Control matters.\n * Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation and guidelines set out by the Company.\n * Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required, commensurate with experience and competency, as directed by a Director.\nSkills & Experience\n * Degree level qualification in Building Control, Building Surveying, Building Studies (or equivalent).\n * Professional membership of RICS / CABE / CIOB (or working towards).\n * Ability to apply a practical, common sense approach to Building Control.\n * Possess effective time management and planning skills with the ability to take responsibility for own productivity.\n * The ability to portray a professional image and a high level of discretion at all times.\n * Confident in the use of IT systems.\nThe Rewards\n * Company pension scheme 6% + Car Allowance\n * 25 days holiday + stat\n * Paid professional subscriptions\n * Contribution to APC fees\n * Internal and external training\n * Expenses paid\n * Addition perks such as gym membership, vouchers etc
