My client is a reputable, award-winning firm, seeking a Private Client Legal Secretary for its North Dorset offices in Shaftesbury area. The firm currently provides a high-net-worth Private Client legal service, including advice on Wills & Estate Administration, Trusts & Estate Planning, Tax and Powers of Attorney.
In this role, you will support fee earners with the following:
1. Producing documents and correspondence as directed by lawyers
2. Efficient handling of telephone enquiries and calls generally
3. Provision of assistance to and dealing with tasks as delegated
4. Setting up new files and new matters accurately and speedily on instructions from lawyers
As the ideal candidate, you will have:
1. Good literacy skills and an understanding of providing secretarial/administrative support to professional staff
2. An accurate and good typing speed (at least 60 wpm)
3. Proficient knowledge of MS Word and other Office products
4. Experience of working in a professional environment, preferably in a law firm
You will also:
1. Be a good team player with a willingness to offer support to others and a “can-do” attitude
2. Be enthusiastic, flexible and efficient with a helpful and friendly manner for dealing with clients and colleagues
In order to be considered for this role, you must have 1+ year’s experience as a Legal Secretary or your application will not be considered.
