Police Station Representative
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Police Station Representative to join a reputable criminal law firm. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting and challenging cases, supporting clients through critical stages of the criminal justice process.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Handling a variety of police station matters, providing effective legal representation and advice.
2. Preparing magistrates’ court casework, ensuring all documentation and procedures are in line with legal requirements.
3. Conducting client appointments to take detailed instructions, ensuring clients are fully informed and supported throughout their cases.
4. Critically reviewing evidence to assess the strengths and weaknesses of cases, advising on appropriate next steps.
5. Providing comprehensive support for crown court cases as a clerk, assisting with case preparation and documentation.
Key Skills & Experience:
6. Previous experience in handling police station matters and supporting clients during police interviews.
7. Experience in preparing and managing casework for magistrates’ court.
8. Strong client-facing skills with the ability to take clear, concise instructions.
9. Ability to review and critically analyse case evidence.
10. Experience supporting crown court cases and preparing related documentation is highly desirable.
