About the business unit
The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across several sectors including hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation, and transmission & distribution networks. Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Together with our clients, we’re helping to deliver the energy transition globally.
About the role
We're currently looking for an Interface Design Engineer to join our team. You will manage the delivery of design, ensuring it is coordinated, interfaced, and coherent. You will own key areas of design interface, managing the development of the design, ensuring interfaces are considered, resolution of clashes, and mitigation information/programme gaps.
Responsibilities:
* Lead meetings, take minutes, report progress.
* Management of design development.
* Keeping track of progress, priorities, issues.
* Present the resolution of design issues.
* Pro-active management of design interfaces.
* Review of design drawings and specifications to ensure interfaces have been considered.
* Regular reporting of progress.
* Development/Review of Interface Specifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in civil or electrical engineering.
* Willingness and ability to understand different design disciplines.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Expected to be liaising with senior internal and external stakeholders.
* Effective problem solver with the initiative to get involved in all aspects of the project and get issues resolved.
* Experience in running effective meetings, taking comprehensive minutes, and progressing actions.
* Experience in the development of engineering design.
* Experience with Digital Engineering.
* Master’s degree in civil or electrical engineering (preferred).
