High Power Radio Frequency Engineer, Mid
The Opportunity:
What if you could use your engineering skills to transform the DoD? As a High Power Radio Frequency (HPRF) engineer, you understand the power behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to conceptualizing, designing, and developing advanced HPRF systems for the warfighter. We’re looking for an engineer who can use their skills to help advance the state-of-the-art for non-lethal systems to be used within the Fleet.
That’s why we need you, a HPRF engineer with a background in RF, High Voltage, and DE technologies, to help us design and develop next-generation systems. You’ll be involved in all aspects of product and system development life cycles from conception to delivery to an end-user. You’ll make a direct impact by leading engineering initiatives that will add alternative options to warfighters' means to dress in real-world missions. We’ll look to you to share your engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. This is a chance to use your experience-based knowledge in HPRF while broadening your skillset into areas like software development, operational planning, and prototype development. Join us and take on exciting challenges in the DoD.
You Have:
* 5+ years of experience in laboratory and field testing, including establishing test goals, developing test methodologies, organizing and conducting tests, reducing test data, and analyzing results.
* 5+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing, testing, and analyzing high-powered, pulsed power-driven microwave systems.
* 5+ years of experience designing, developing, fabricating, and testing electronic printed circuit boards.
* Experience with HPM and HPRF source testing and evaluation.
* Experience with digital and analog control systems, power electronics, EMI mitigation techniques, transformer design, DC-to-DC converters, and high-voltage capacitors.
* Experience in RF and microwave signal generation and test equipment, vacuum devices, tubes, radars, HPRF systems, and digital signal processing.
* Ability to work both independently with little direction and in highly collaborative environments, including with government personnel, such as colleagues, stakeholders, warfighters, and sponsors.
* Secret clearance.
* Bachelor's degree.
Nice If You Have:
* 10+ years of experience with high voltage, high peak power spark-gaps, high voltage power supplies, fast transient diagnostics, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic countermeasures (EMC) mitigation techniques.
* 5+ years of experience in software engineering related to program development, modeling, or simulation.
* Master's degree.
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
