An exciting opportunity has arisen to employ a ClinicalNurse Specialist within the Neighbourhood Mental Health Team on a fixed termbasis for 18 months. This role will focus on the delivery of population basedmental health care for the area of Wyre Forest & Malvern. You will work alongsidemulti-disciplinary teams of highly specialist practitioners & have directrelationships with the professionals within the local Primary Care Networks. As anexperienced and enthusiastic clinician, you will offer specialist support and interventionsto highly complex cases & will guide primary care colleagues withprescribing advice requests. If youare seeking a role that will encompass new ways of working that will be thefuture delivery of community mental health care in England, then this is anopportunity you should not miss. The post is for 30 hours a week (Monday toFriday). We also allow flexibility for staff to work from home where clinicallypossible.

Main duties of the job
The main dutiesfor a Clinical Nurse Specialist within our team includes (but not limited to):
Offer specialist assessments and interventionsto patients within the Malvern & Wyre Forest locality service who arehighly complex and other practitioners are needing support with. Hold a cappedcaseload for these patients when required.
Provide expertise, support and advice to MHPsregarding all aspects of clinical care.
Work jointly and provide expertise to primarycare colleagues and specialist partners (for example drug & alcoholservices) to support in highly contentious complex cases and working within anadvisory role, particularly with prescribing enquiries.
Integrate both drug and non-drug-basedtreatment methods into a care management plan with the support of theMulti-Disciplinary Team.
Provide information, education and support forservice users and their carers re: coping with diagnosis and treatments.
Be a member of the Trust NMP Forum and tocontribute to relevant meetings.
Takepart in and facilitate audits relevant to patient care.
