About us
We’ve been one of London’s largest property maintenance companies for more than 15 years and now we are looking to spread our reach further afield. We have ambitious growth plans, and contracting the best tradespeople is key to our future success.
We book thousands of jobs for residential property owners every month. We also work with several well-known commercial clients across all types of businesses.
We specialise in reactive, hourly rate work and follow-up, remedial work. We do this 24/7, 365 days a year.
The Role
Our leak detection division provides trace and access investigations for residential and commercial property owners. Non-invasive techniques, such as thermal imaging, tracer gas, moisture metres, borescopes and acoustics, are used to detect hard-to-find leaks and sources of water ingress.
Investigations require a methodical approach and detailed reports are provided to customers to assist their insurance claims. After finding the source of a leak you’ll be responsible for sourcing parts, making repairs, and quoting for any reinstatement work required.
You’ll be provided with confirmed bookings that relate to your specific expertise, on a constant basis. You’ll earn for your time on-site, plus time for parts/materials collection. Typical bookings include:
* Investigating concealed bathroom and kitchen leaks
* Detection source of water ingress and internal damp
* General plumbing repairs
* General building repairs; tiling, patch plastering, basic carpentry
Clear communication with customers is essential. You’ll be expected to provide reassurance by explaining the work you’ll do for them and sharing your knowledge. You’ll also be confident in quoting for remedial work. Our bespoke software enables tradespeople to take responsibility for managing their own work rather than always relying on office-based support.
You’ll be supported by a field-based Technical Manager. They’ll provide training, advice and assistance and can arrange additional resources on jobs that escalate in size and complexity.
We try to provide engineers with bookings in the same geographic area. However, you’ll be prepared to travel anywhere in and around the East Midlands but, due to our company expansion we will keep you as close to home as possible. You’ll be required to be on call for cyclical evening and weekend coverage.
About you
You’ll have at least 5 years of experience as a bathroom fitter, Plumber or Gas Engineer. You’ll have experience in installing and repairing plumbing systems. Ideally, you’ll hold a CSCS card. Good knowledge and experience in general maintenance is also required.
You will be confident in using your knowledge and experience to recommend best practice repair and reinstatement work. You’ll have excellent communication skills and experience in providing detailed scope of works and fixed price quotes. You’re prepared to go the extra mile to help a customer. You take pride in always delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service.
You’ll have your own hand tools; we’ll supply all specialist leak detection equipment. You’ll also have a valid UK driving licence and you’ll be available to work for at least 40 hours per week
