Job Description
This is a maternity cover contract with a successful ladies wear brand that has strong sales growth. This is a hybrid position that requires the person to work part of the week in Cornwall and part remote.
Responsibilities:
1. Agreeing sales and profit targets with the Merchandiser.
2. Maintaining a keen awareness of market trends and competitor activity.
3. Range planning and working closely with the design, technical, and merchandising teams to create commercial seasonal ranges.
4. Ensuring the best suppliers are used for each product category.
5. Taking responsibility for price negotiations and budget control.
6. Management of the development process and follow-through.
7. Management of the critical paths.
8. Presenting product ranges.
9. Input for seasonal marketing of new product ranges.
10. Achieving sales and profit growth.
The Person:
You will need to have gained experience as a UK Retail or Wholesale Buyer for women's clothing and have multi-product experience. You should have a track record of achieving strong sales and margin results, be adaptable and innovative with excellent negotiating skills, and possess an open, positive, proactive approach along with previous experience of coaching and developing others. This position is open to candidates with the right to live and work within the UK.
