We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Dog Daycare Assistant Apprentice to join the team. As a Dog Daycare Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and happiness of our canine guests.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Maintain a clean and hygienic environment for our dogs by regularly cleaning and sanitizing play areas, crates, and common spaces.
* Interact with dog owners, providing them with updates on their pets' activities and behaviours throughout the day. Maintain clear and professional communication to ensure clients have peace of mind.
* Continuously monitor dog behaviour to identify signs of stress, anxiety, or overstimulation. Implement appropriate measures to address any behavioural issues that may arise.
* Oversee groups of dogs, including both small and large breeds, to ensure safe and positive interactions.
* Depending on the candidate, there may be a need to drive our custom-fitted doggy bus to ensure the safe transport of dogs to and from clients' houses. Professionally handling keys and private information.

* Show a keen interest in dog behaviour and training to contribute positively to our daycare environment.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to interact effectively with both dogs and pet owners, addressing their concerns and questions with professionalism and empathy.
* Thrive in a fast-paced environment, where you'll need to multitask efficiently to manage multiple dogs and responsibilities simultaneously.
* Be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as standing for extended periods of time, as part of your daily duties.
Desired Qualifications:
* Applicants must not already hold a level 2 in animal care or higher.
* Maths and English GCSE or equivalent grade C/4 or higher desirable but not essential.
Future Progression:
* Full-time employment for the right candidate if a position is available within the business.
Training:
* Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
* The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Animal Care & Welfare Apprenticeship Standard.
* The learner will be allocated an industry-specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on-site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
* The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.

* The apprentice will be working to build a portfolio of evidence and will be required to pass a knowledge test and an End Point Assessment (EPA) to complete the apprenticeship.

Pay: From £6.40 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
