Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome challenges and build positive futures? A provision in Bromley, an 11-16 Alternative Provision based in South East London, is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join there team.
About Abbey Manor College
As the Local Authority Alternative Provision, they are committed to helping students who have been excluded from mainstream education. We provide a nurturing environment where students are encouraged to achieve academically, build positive relationships, and develop the skills they need to make a successful transition into further education, employment, or apprenticeships.
There students join throughout the academic year at different stages of their secondary education. They come to the provision for various reasons, from behavioural challenges to specialized educational needs that are not always met in mainstream settings. They offer targeted support at Key Stage 3 to prepare students for reintegration into mainstream schools and Key Stage 4 programs that enable students to leave with 5-7 GCSEs or equivalent, along with essential life skills.
The Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
* Work one-on-one and in small groups with students to support positive behavior and engagement in learning.
* Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create individualized plans that empower students to succeed.
* Help students build confidence, resilience, and skills for reintegration or progression to further education, apprenticeships, or employment.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
* A strong understanding of behavior management techniques and experience working with young people facing challenges.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and support them through their educational journey.
* A commitment to fostering a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
