Full Time
Derby/Hybrid (on average 3 days a week in the office)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical and Facility Controls Engineer to join our Design team in Test Facilities Engineering within the Engineering, Test and Safety (ET&S) division in Derby.
In this role, you will work on a wide range of test equipment across the aerospace business sectors, supporting the key objective of “Better Data Faster”.

Our hybrid working model allows flexibility between office, home, and remote locations, with an expectation to attend the workplace about three days per week for collaboration and specific tasks.
What you will be doing:
* Designing new process equipment and control systems.
* Integrating new and existing equipment into test facilities.
* Ensuring designs and validations guarantee safe and reliable operation with gas turbines under test.
* Capturing and analyzing requirements, preparing system specifications.
* Designing, monitoring, and accepting third-party supplied systems.
* Implementing and developing standards.
Who we’re looking for:

* Hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Have experience in requirements capture and analysis, such as Systems Engineering.
* Are skilled in generating Functional Block diagrams and ladder logic for process simulation and controllers.
* Have a good understanding of sensors, effectors, and signal conditioning.
* Are knowledgeable about current products, technologies, and methods.
* Have experience in designing GUIs and Human Machine Interfaces.
