Our client in Derry/ Londonderry is currently looking to recruit a full time and permanent Financial Controller to manage the financial operations of their plant, providing strategic guidance, robust financial reporting, and compliance oversight. Reporting directly to the CFO Europe, this role is central to their ongoing commitment to excellence
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Guidance: Serve as a trusted advisor on business and commercial matters, collaborating with the Plant Manager to drive impactful decisions.
Financial Integrity: Maintain the accuracy of financial accounts in compliance with accepted accounting principles and company policies.
Statutory & Compliance Reporting: Oversee the preparation and timely submission of statutory accounts, coordinating with auditors to ensure compliance.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the creation of annual budgets, monthly accounts, and weekly forecasts, aligning with business requirements.
Payroll & Tax Oversight: Manage payroll, benefits administration, and ensure timely, accurate tax filings.
KPI & Budget Monitoring: Implement and maintain effective controls for monitoring department KPIs and budgets.
Internal Controls: Develop and sustain internal controls to support financial integrity and compliance.
Capital Project Review: Support capital expenditure projects by reviewing and assessing business cases.
Position Requirements:
Professional Accountancy Qualification with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role
Experience working within a global organisation is preferred
Demonstrated project management skills, analytical expertise, and strong organisational capabilities
Key Competencies:
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Proven analytical skills and results-oriented approach
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
Exceptional communication skills, adaptable across all levels of the organisation
Commitment to fostering a high-performing, continuous improvement culture
Salary: £60-70K depending on experience + 15% MIP bonus
