Bank Support Worker
£11.50 per hour

As a Bank Support Worker, you’ll provide support across our Day Opportunities Service. You’ll be working with individuals with learning disabilities helping to engage them in a wide range of sessions, inspiring fun and creativity whilst encouraging independence and leading and allowing individuals to live happy, healthy and fulfilling lives.
About the role:
1. Supporting individuals to take part in a range of timetabled sessions
2. Liaising with session leaders
3. Assisting individuals with their personal, social and healthcare needs whilst maintaining accurate records
4. Supporting individuals to meet their goals and outcomes in health, wellbeing and independence
5. Working as part of a team as well as lone working within the community as needed
6. Support individuals with everyday tasks as required.
What are we looking for:
1. Previous experience of working in a social care setting
2. The ability to work calmly and professionally whether alone or as part of our friendly team!
3. The essential capability to build a rapport with colleagues, volunteers and the families and carers of the people we support
4. Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential
5. Due to the nature of the role a car driver with access to your own vehicle and willingness/ability to drive a mini-bus is desirable.
