About the role Are you a talented project manager looking for a new challenge? A new opportunity to lead the expansion of Bournemouth University’s degree apprenticeship provision has arisen. We have been successful in attracting project funding from the Office for Students to develop new degree apprenticeship provision to increase the number of students on our apprenticeship degrees and equality of opportunity for prospective apprentices. The aim of this exciting project is to advance our strategies and initiatives to increase choice for our students, improve graduate outcomes and widen opportunity. To support this strategically important work, we are seeking an individual, who can manage the project tasks and deadlines to maximise their outcomes through rigorous resource planning, budget management and excellence in project leadership. The successful candidate will coordinate activities across the institution working with academic and professional services staff to meet the project objectives. The successful candidate will also represent Bournemouth University through engaging with external stakeholders. We are looking for a project manager with a track record of managing higher education projects to successful outcomes. You’ll need to demonstrate a genuine interest in degree apprenticeships provision that meet UK skills needs now and in the future. You will have superb management and negotiation skills, combined with an ability to prioritise and manage effectively to tight timescales. Confidence and enthusiasm are key, together with the ability to think strategically and influence at all levels whilst delivering service excellence both internally and externally. About the department Our Office of the Vice-Chancellor (OVC) serves as the hub of academic and administrative leadership, driving strategic planning and the execution of our vision. We work closely with the University Executive Team (UET) and the University Leadership Team (ULT) to drive a range of corporate activities across BU and ensure the smooth running of the university. The OVC also encompasses central functions working across BU, such as business continuity and policy and public affairs.
