We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hotel Maintenance Engineer to work alongside our current maintenance team in delivering exceptional service across reactive and planned works. This would be working at the Manor Hotel, covering a total of 112 bedrooms with a number of bars, restaurants, conference space, function rooms, and back of house facilities.
You must have experience in a similar environment with the knowledge and confidence to deliver the role described below, combined with a passion for delivering exceptional service. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will work in a high performing and fast paced environment; proudly maintaining all our facilities. Some building(s) fabric experience would be very advantageous for this role.
This role will involve working as part of our friendly hotel team to ensure all hotel systems are maintained to a high standard and are always in excellent working order. You will be required to be a competent hands-on worker able to take on all day-to-day preventative & reactive maintenance across the properties. You will take responsibility for all types of repairs and maintenance work in the hotel premises alongside our existing maintenance team.
Key Accountability
Under the guidance of your manager, we expect you to maintain statutory and company regulations relating to health and safety, hygiene, personal conduct, fire emergency procedures and testing, security of premises and property are upheld.
* To ensure that you are maintaining a safe working environment and wear protective clothing when supplied and whenever necessary.
* Maintain where instructed; heating systems, cooling, ventilation and general plant.
* Maintain and keep in good order all back of house areas ensuring correct storage of materials within them.
* Be guest focused; having a positive and problem-solving attitude at all times.
* Carry out general plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs across site.
* Repairing or installation of new tiles to floors and internal walls.
* Support installation of new equipment where required and necessary.
* Carry out legionella compliance checks and remedial works across all sites.
* Periodically checking fire alarms, fire doors and emergency lighting system.
* To ensure that any faults with the fire alarm system are reported immediately.
* Repair and maintenance of bedroom door entry systems.
* Keeping track of stock levels and submitting order requests on a weekly basis.
* Repair to equipment and furniture where suitable.
* Maintain all health and safety statutory records in line with legal requirements and to adhere to all company rules, policies and procedures.

Experience:
* 2 years in a maintenance role, preferably hotels and/or hospitality.
* 2 years practical experience of buildings and facilities.
* Building Fabric knowledge and experience is preferred.
* Carpentry/Joinery knowledge preferred but not essential.
Working Hours:
* Monday to Friday
* Typical hours of 0900 - 1730
* Some weekend working may be required.
