Airside Support Operative (Driver) The Airside Support Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of equipment, and delivieries within the airport's airside environment using a company van. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of various airside activities and requires adherence to strict safety regulations and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Safe Operation of Vehicle: Operate company vans safely and in accordance with all airside regulations, traffic laws, and Truline's internal policies. Delivery Collect, transport, and deliver goods and other materials as required by different airside teams. This may involve loading and unloading the van safely. Communication: Maintain effective communication with the Airside Operations Supervisor, dispatch, and other relevant teams via radio or other communication devices. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily vehicle checks, including fluid levels, tyre pressure, and general condition, and report any defects or maintenance requirements promptly. Ensure the van is kept clean and tidy. Adherence to Regulations: Strictly adhere to all airport airside regulations, security procedures, and health and safety guidelines. This includes understanding and complying with movement orders and safety briefings Security Awareness: Maintain a high level of security awareness and report any suspicious activities or security breaches immediately. Flexibility: Be flexible and adaptable to changing operational needs and schedules, which may include working shifts, weekends, and bank holidays. Qualifications and Experience: Essential: Full valid UK Driving Licence (manual transmission preferred). Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Airside Driving Permit (AADP). Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for obtaining this permit, which may include a criminal record check and medical assessment. Demonstrable experience in driving vans or similar vehicles. Good understanding of road safety regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. A strong commitment to safety and security procedures. Basic literacy and numeracy skills for completing paperwork.
