Based on our recent news article here: Badminton England reveals new transformative vision for its performance programme | Badminton England, we are recruiting coaches and support staff to help us develop a system and environment that enables players to maximise their potential and perform at the highest level across our senior, junior and para programmes. In doing so, you will be playing a key role in enabling us to deliver our vision at Badminton England to make our sport the most inclusive and accessible sport in the country.
We are now proactively recruiting for six new roles integral to the success of this new vision:

* Para GB National Coach & Pathway Manager (Para)
* Programme Manager (Senior)
* Singles Coach (Senior)

Job Description
Title: Programme Manager (Senior)
Team: Performance
Responsible to: Performance Director
Responsible for: 1 report: Performance Operations Manager who manages 2 x Performance Co-ordinators and a Performance Budget Assistant (0.5 FTE)
Location: National Badminton Centre, Milton Keynes
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Hours: 35.58 hours
Role summary:
The programme manager for the senior programme is responsible and accountable for driving the successful operational, financial and administrative aspects of the performance programme to ultimately enable Badminton England (BE) to achieve the aims of the performance programme at the national badminton centre.
The role focuses on leading the planning and delivery of all non-technical aspects of the programme relating to operations, logistics, stakeholder relationships, scheduling, agreements and grants and will require close liaison with the Head Coach (senior programme) to provide the support needed for the programme to deliver.
The role will also work closely with the programme managers for the para and junior programmes to ensure strong alignment of our programmes and with the home nations to promote consistency and collaboration of non-technical performance related activities.
In doing so, you will motivate and empower a team of 3 staff to deliver the above and drive the values of BE through your work.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the strategic planning and delivery of the non-technical operational, financial and administrative business of the senior programme – relating to player agreements, selection meetings, competition scheduling, player and team entries, travel grants, MDT interface, and underpinning logistics and operations to deliver the strategic needs of the performance programme.
* Lead the planning and delivery of an operational plan for the performance department aligned to the BE strategy.
* Building and maintaining relationships with relevant funding bodies and provide timely information as required.
* Providing high quality operational support to the Head Coach (Senior) and coaches of the senior programme to achieve the above.
* Responsibility for managing the relationship with the NBC relating to all non-technical operations of delivering the senior programme.
* Supporting the Performance Director in management of stakeholder relationships and with compliance with reporting to UKS and UKSI, UKAD, Sport England, BOA, CGE, home nations, Badminton Europe and BWF.
* Logistics and operations – ensuring there is smooth and efficient delivery of all the travel, accommodation and logistics for domestic and international competition.
* Assist with financial planning, monitoring and reporting. Oversee the budget and financial systems in conjunction with the PD and the finance team.
* Submission of monthly reports to the PD, and other reports as required (including financial) to demonstrate progress and identify challenges.
* Developing, supporting and empowering staff to achieve their performance objectives (with clear success measures), and personal development plans.
* Ensure adherence to safeguarding, anti-doping, anti-corruption and other regulatory requirements for everyone connected to the performance programme.
* Recruitment and selection of performance team staff (senior programme).
* Responsibility for embedding equality and diversity across the programme.
* Responsibility to ensure duty of care to all staff involved in the programme.
* To undertake any other duties as required by the Performance Director.
Who we are looking for?
* Track record in managing the non-technical operational, administrative and financial aspects of a performance sport programme.
* Proven experience in managing and empowering a team to deliver.
* Proven experience in stakeholder management, specifically engaging with national partners e.g. UK Sport and UKSI.
* Proven experience in securing grants and budget management.
* Proven experience of understanding a high-performance sporting environment, including previous experience working with elite athletes, coaches and technical staff.
* Understanding of the BE performance programme.
* Track record of building strong networking skills to develop relationships.
* Strong planning and organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise, delegate and empower.
* Proven experience in project management processes.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and in particular, spreadsheets, word processing, email.
* Proven experience in embedding EDI and safeguarding practices at a strategic level.
* Meticulous attention to detail.
