Macphie Ltd are looking for a Store Person to join the team at Glenbervie.
Shift pattern for the role is Monday to Friday – 2 week rotation of 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm (with some ad hoc overtime).
This is a busy, fast-paced role which requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative as well as working effectively as part of a team.
What does a Store Person do?
We are looking for a hardworking & conscientious Store person / Warehouse Operator to join our warehouse operations and activities. As a store person, your responsibilities will include picking, packing, and scanning orders as well as stock intake. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. We require someone who can pay careful attention on the job and follow instructions precisely.
Responsibilities
* Pick, assemble and package orders as directed and load on vehicle in a safe and efficient manner in line with company procedures.
* Receive, label and store incoming goods in line with defined procedures.
* Receive, scan and store finished goods in line with defined procedures.
* Ensure that the warehouse is maintained in a tidy and hygienic condition.
* Operate a variety of mechanical handling equipment in a safe manner and carry out daily checks as necessary.
* Assist in regular stock checking activities.
* Work safely at all times in accordance with company Health & Safety policies, procedures, practices and legislation.
In addition to this, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by the Team Leader from time to time.
The individual: skills, experience and qualifications
* Experience in a similar role, preferably within a food production/manufacturing environment and previous exposure to manual handling practices is helpful, although this is not essential. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn is essential.
* Driving license and own transport required.
* Former warehouse/stock control experience desirable.
* A team player who adopts a continuous improvement approach.
* Self-motivated & uses initiative.
* Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance.
