Job summary
We are seeking a dietitian with good clinical experience / knowledge and a commitment to progress within our innovative team. This is a great opportunity for you to further develop your portfolio of dietetic skills (both nutrition support and chronic disease management) in a community environment.
Main duties of the job
Managing your own caseload, you will see patients in care homes and their own homes across Brent. You will be required to provide training programmes for care home staff. You will also be responsible for delivering outpatient clinics.
You will be joining an experienced, supportive and award-winning team of 15 community dietitians holding several specialised roles. The team hold monthly peer support sessions and provide 1:1 supervision to facilitate clinical excellence and personal development. We actively participate in audit and service development initiatives. We are accredited to support undergraduate student training.
You must be able to demonstrate skills and enthusiasm for working in a community setting. Good communication to deliver evidence-based personalised dietetic care to the diverse community in Brent in an engaging style is a key component of this position.
This is a 1 WTE ( hours per week) permanent Band 6 position. Part time and job share would be considered. We currently offer hybrid working for staff once they complete their probationary period.

6. Degree or postgraduate diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics
7. Health and Care Professions Council registration
8. Evidence of continuous professional development

9. Post-graduate qualification in a dietetic-related field (eg health promotion, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy)
Experience

10. Significant post-registration clinical dietetic experience in a range of clinical areas
11. Experience of managing patients with nutrition related conditions such as malnutrition, diabetes, obesity and coeliac disease
12. Experience of providing dietetic advice to elderly / other patients requiring nutrition support

14. Experience of working in a community setting
