As a Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making and business performance. You will work closely with senior management and be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
2. Support with the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
3. Monthly balance sheet reconciliation and analysis
4. Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with auditors
5. Provide financial analysis to help improve profitability and cost control
6. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
7. Support with the development and implementation of financial systems
8. Provide ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by senior management
Requirements:
1. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or working towards)
2. Proven experience in a management accounting role
3. Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles
4. Proficient in accounting software (experience with insert software is desirable)
5. Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
7. Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders
8. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
