Job summary – What to expect: As a Senior Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including picking, packaging, and shipping contact lenses, ensuring that customer requirements, production targets, and quality standards are consistently met or exceeded. Additionally, when required, you will provide leadership, motivation, and guidance to the packaging team as needed, and serve as a backup for the Team Leader in their absence. In addition, you will: Operate packing machinery safely following company procedures and work instructions including raising quality related issues and monitoring performance. Picking materials and lenses for customer orders following company procedures and work instructions. Shipping customers’ orders by following customer specifications, pack orders on pallets, and use pallet trucks for transportation. Record Production Data by ensuring accurate documentation using written and digital formats. Deputize for Team Leader as required (Cover key process, investigate problematic orders, support productivity improvement, and represent the team in meetings when required.) About you: We are looking for someone with great communication skills, who displays a positive attitude and has the ability to adapt and manage multiple tasks at the same time. Experience & Education Experience of working in a warehouse environment, operating machinery or manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to read, understand and work to SOP’s/ Work Instructions Be prepared to cover a minimum of two of the three main processes within the Packaging, when required, to ensure minimal disruption to flow. Be prepared to work in other areas of operations for specified periods of time as required.
