JR205: Maintenance Operative
Location: Kenmore, Perthshire
Salary: £24,000 Per Annum
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Maintenance Operative on behalf of one of our clients. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To undertake gas deliveries, as required, in line with Company policy.
2. To assist with the maintenance of the buildings, holiday homes, grounds, fences, public areas, and development sites as directed by the Operations Manager.
3. To note and report any work requiring attention to the line manager as soon as possible (e.g., burst pipes, dangerous steps, paths and services, etc.).
4. Ensure all chargeable work undertaken is reported for invoicing in line with Company procedure and followed through approval from the purchasing manager.
5. Assist with minor repairs and other maintenance activities in line with your skills and professional competence such as drain downs and siting's along with basic grass cutting.
6. To assist in the implementation of legal and/or site rules in a diplomatic way and reporting failure to comply (e.g., speeding vehicles, dogs not on leads etc.) and any other reasonable requests from the General Manager.
7. To serve the public in the most courteous and efficient manner including effective handling of enquiries and complaints, ensuring issues are reported in accordance with company instructions.
8. Check Bore Hole & Reed Bed and report any anomalies to the line manager if applicable to the park.
9. To undergo specific training as indicated by the Manager as and when required.
10. Take all reasonable steps to protect the health, safety, and welfare of all employees, patrons, and visitors, by promoting safe working practices.
11. Comply with company policies, rules, and procedures at all times.
12. Any other duties as required by your line manager commensurate with your role.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experience of general maintenance work and grass cutting.
2. Experience with the use of grounds maintenance equipment and/or power tools.
3. Strong interpersonal skills and a positive friendly demeanour.
4. Positive, enthusiastic, and flexible approach to work.
5. Excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
6. Previous grounds/management experience is preferred.
7. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and improve.
8. A current full UK driving licence.
9. Experience driving tractors and/or other licenses - Desirable.
10. Experience of driving ride-on mowers and the use of hand strimmers - Desirable.
