Learning Support Assistant (Specialist SEN School, Wolverhampton) Position: Learning Support Assistant Location: Wolverhampton, UK Weekly Salary: £425 to £450 Contract Type: Temporary (opportunites to go perm) Join a leading specialist school in Wolverhampton catering to children aged 11-16 with Special Educational Needs (SEN). With small class sizes and tailored learning approaches, we focus on delivering an exceptional education for pupils with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning or behavioral challenges. Key Responsibilities Work closely with teachers to support the delivery of personalized learning plans. Provide one-on-one or group assistance to students with SEN to enhance their academic and social development. Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment. Support students with daily routines, including educational and emotional needs. Collaborate with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals. Adapt teaching methods to align with individual needs, promoting independence and engagement. What We’re Looking For Essential : Experience working with children or young people with SEN in an educational setting. A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Preferred : Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
