We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Housing and Support Officer. The role will be patch, home & office based and will be working for 35 hours per week. To apply, candidates need to have experience of providing a housing management services to tenants across a geographically region.
To be considered for this role, candidates must undergo an Enhanced DBS check, hold a valid driving license, and have access to their own vehicle.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide advice and information to tenants, residents, and others on all tenancy matters, welfare benefits, and re-housing requests.
2. Assist tenants with support needs to sustain and benefit from their tenancy.
3. Work with colleagues to achieve void turnaround targets for repair works and to manage the pre-void and lettings process.
4. Assess the needs of applicants for housing or transfer, liaising with LA nominees and others, making recommendations for action within the Lettings Policy.
5. Deal with tenancy terminations, new tenancy agreements and associated paperwork, HB / UC applications, CORE forms.
6. Carry out Estate Inspections, monitoring cleaning, grounds maintenance, repairs, and maintenance, and other estate/block services.
7. Assist the Arrears Officer with outstanding rent arrears, dealing with charge payments, and taking early and preventative action to minimise arrears.
