Key Responsibilities of the Head of Finance:
1. Develop and implement financial strategies that align with growth objectives, supporting long-term planning and resource allocation.
2. Oversee accurate, timely financial reporting, delivering insights that influence strategic decisions and enhance performance.
3. Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring effective variance analysis and predictive accuracy.
4. Work across departments to identify and implement strategies for operational improvement and increased profitability.
5. Maintain a keen focus on cash flow and working capital strategies, securing financial stability and liquidity.
6. Establish robust risk management practices and ensure full compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
7. Nurture a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
8. Build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing critical financial insights and support for negotiations.
9. Evaluate current financial systems, implement new technologies, and streamline processes to boost efficiency.
Head of Finance Candidate Profile:
1. Expertise in financial principles, regulatory standards, and advanced financial modelling.
2. Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
3. Capable of anticipating financial trends and implementing proactive strategies.
4. Strong presentation skills, adept at influencing and engaging stakeholders.
5. Ideally experienced in recurring payments or similar sectors.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; Master's/MBA preferred.
2. Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
3. 10+ years' finance experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
4. Proficient in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel.
