Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of Visit Belfast’s web and digital strategy, leading to the achievement of set objectives and targets, promoting Belfast as a leading tourism destination in line with the marketing strategy and objectives as set out in Visit Belfast’s New Horizon’s Tourism Strategy 2024-27 and its annual Business Plans.
OVERVIEW:
With support from appointed agencies, responsible for the new development and management of Visit Belfast’s suite of websites, social media channels and email marketing activity. Creating and managing the content marketing plans with the digital marketing team and input from the wider marketing and communications team, together with delivering set web, social media and email marketing key performance indicators.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Plan, develop and implement Visit Belfast’s digital strategy across all existing and future platforms and activity, including websites, SEO, social media, email marketing, paid online advertising, interactive touchscreens, apps and digital marketing campaigns in line with Visit Belfast’s digital targets and KPIs.
* Develop, manage and coordinate sizable digital development projects across websites, apps, screens and other platforms.
* Develop, manage and coordinate digital marketing campaigns across websites, social media, paid online advertising, search, email marketing and other platforms, working with campaign partners and external agencies and organisations as required.
* Develop and manage email marketing and social media marketing plans and activity, in line with Visit Belfast’s KPIs and business plans.
* Liaise with the Senior Marketing and Comms Manager and the Marketing Manager to develop and co-ordinate integrated marketing campaigns targeting Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Great Britain and other locations.
* Support the Commercial and Partnership Managers to develop and improve commercial advertising and partner opportunities across Visit Belfast’s digital platforms to increase commercial income.
* Manage third party supplier contracts and relationships with Visit Belfast’s digital and design agencies, including procurement of services, administration, and briefing and delivery of projects and managing activity within set budgets and timescales.
* Report to Senior Director of Marketing and Communications in management of the web and digital marketing budget.
* Oversee digital elements of corporate, strategic and regional tourism partnership agreements and Service Level Agreements, ensuring all targets are met and monitoring reports maintained.
* Manage the coordination and evaluation of research and monitoring of Visit Belfast’s digital platforms, campaigns and other digital marketing activity including competitor analysis and benchmarking as well as monitoring of advancements in new digital technology and marketing which are then incorporated into Visit Belfast’s digital strategies and plans.
* Create content for and contribute to departmental reports, business plans, Service Level Agreements and evaluations, demonstrating activity delivered against set objectives and KPIs.
* Ensure applicable legislation and digital best practice guidelines are adhered to, including General Data Protection Regulation, accessibility, usability and IT security.
* Manage the implementation of Visit Belfast’s brand and the Belfast city / Embrace A Giant Spirit brand across Visit Belfast’s digital platforms and marketing activity.
* Recruit and train new members of staff as required.
* Represent Visit Belfast at partner and industry events, including presenting on Visit Belfast’s digital platforms and activity.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Visit Belfast’s partners and key stakeholders including Belfast City Council, Tourism Northern Ireland and Tourism Ireland.
* Communicate effectively with other Visit Belfast departments to ensure integrated activity across the organisation.
* Ensure comprehensive Belfast and Northern Ireland product and campaign knowledge is fully developed and maintained, keeping abreast of all new products, initiatives, events and festivals.
* Undertake other duties as may be required by the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications and Visit Belfast’s Senior Management Team.
