About The Role As a Business Support Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and customer service support to the college. Your responsibilities will include: Processing student enrolments, hosting assessments, and assisting with general information and guidance queries. Updating the student Management Information System. Supporting the delivery of college services, including reception duties, facilities support, and data entry. Coordinating learning resources and class schedules, working closely with teaching staff and learners. Providing support for events and open days. Working at least one evening per week during term time to support evening learners. As a Business Support Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for students and visitors, providing reception duties, handling enquiries, and processing enrolments and payments. You will support the smooth running of the college by maintaining records, updating databases, and ensuring facilities are safe and well-equipped. Your role will also include key responsibilities such as monitoring health and safety incidents, reporting facilities issues, and acting as a fire warden and first-aider. Additionally, you will assist with centre operations, including opening/closing, maintaining schedules, and supporting events. This varied role requires excellent organisation, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support services. About You: We are looking for someone who is: Organised, with strong attention to detail. Friendly and approachable, with excellent customer service skills. Confident using IT systems and administrative tools. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
