Here at Havebury Housing, we have an incredibly exciting opportunity to join us as a Projects Supervisor (Aids and Adaptions)! You will be responsible for managing the provision of aids and adaptations in Havebury properties, ensuring that residents with disabilities or special needs can live independently and safely.
We own and manage c.7,500 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. We build on the good foundations we have in place in being a customer-centric organisation, investing in our existing homes - including our zero-carbon journey - as well as building new homes.

Requirements
Outline of Key Responsibilities...
* Assess the needs of residents for aids and adaptations
* Coordinate with local authority social services, Occupational Therapists, and contractors to implement necessary adaptations
* To provide site supervision and where required management and technical advice to technicians, monitoring performance, progress of works against programs, carrying out pre and post quality inspections of work as required
* Contribute to and deliver operational plans so that the Kitchen & bathroom programme and adaptations service is delivered in a cost-effective way which meets Havebury service standards and procedures and policies. Show initiative to improve processes where improvement requirements are identified
* To ensure that customers’ needs are satisfied by effective communication and efficient organisation of the works, plus the embedding of a customer focus approach to service delivery
We are looking for someone who has...
* Relevant trade qualifications i.e. City and Guilds, NVQ 3
* Understanding of building construction and maintenance techniques in the social housing sector
* Knowledge of relevant housing and disabled adaptations legislation.
* Managing a budget and demonstrable knowledge and application of Value for Money
* Supervisory or line management experience
* High level written, oral and persuasive communication and interpersonal skills and ability to present this information to a variety of audiences
