Due to continued growth, we are delighted to announce we are currently recruiting for a Sourcing Specialist to join our team at our site in Rugby. This role will focus on providing support and ownership to a large-scale project surrounding site development which is currently in its infancy. You will be responsible for sourcing activity for all aspects of the project to include construction, labour and machinery investment, and manage a small number of key suppliers and ensuring that they deliver to the timing schedule.
This work is undertaken with UK Defence customers which will require any individual applying for the role to hold or be capable of getting SC Level clearance, be a British Citizen and working or have residency in the UK for a minimum of 5 years. Applicants not cleared will not be accepted into the business until this clearance is provided. Dual passport holders are acceptable if the second country is approved by the vetting authority.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
* Negotiate/manage existing terms and conditions, manage claims and vendor recovery.
* Order fulfilment tasks to ensure material on time delivery, PO placement and Invoice management. Expediting.
* Co-ordinate across multiple teams to ensure on track completion of core milestones.
* Review supplier performance (schedule, CoQ, Manufacturing, Quality) to identify risks to the program and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
* Identify and deliver value-adding opportunities from the supply chain.
* Manage and improve supplier relationship and demonstrate the ability to communicate problems and present solutions with internal and external customers at senior levels.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Demonstrable experience of sourcing and procurement experience with in-depth experience in high-value and complex projects ideally for defence or power industry related products but not essential.
* Excellent organisation skills with the ability to work well across multiple workstreams and deliver against timelines.
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
* Self-starter with drive, able to work under pressure and in a dynamic environment.
* Motivation, Teamwork is essential, trust, credibility and capability to communicate effectively at all levels internally and externally is essential.
Desired Characteristics to be Considered:
* Existing SC holder would be preferred but we will support in the application of gaining SC.
* Experience within the defence or power industry related products.
* Main Suppliers are UK based, must be able to travel on a weekly basis where required.
* Schedule Management skills are essential for this role, and ideally some experience of managing sourcing projects would be beneficial.
* Quality, Supplier Quality experience would be beneficial.
* Interpersonal skills, managing people and situations including contract issues.
* Proactive and pragmatic in their approach to managing the supplier(s).
* Able to adapt and work quickly to project situations.
* Management of change i.e. engineering, quality, escalations and reporting to senior management both at the supplier as well as Arabelle Solutions.
* Experience on SAP, Microsoft packages including MS Project.
