Summary of the role: As Logistics Operations Manager you will perform the designated duties of the Quality Assurance Administrator (QAA) to ensure full compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) operated within CVS Group plc for the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) of licensed or unlicensed veterinary medicines to ensure that all applicable laws and guidance are reflected in our processes and procedures. The job holder will also ensure that all staff reporting are trained in the Quality Manual, GDP practices and relevant SOP's. Other responsibilities include: Ensure full compliance with GDP regulations and documented procedures in regard to wholesale activities of pharmaceutical products. Manage a team of Warehouse and Pharmacy Operatives JDA Superusers and Stock Control. Liaise with Quality Assurance, Health & Safety Dept, HR and LED to ensure the necessary resources are available to undertake training of all staff in induction, compliance and adherence to all associated company requirements and policies. Carry out monthly cycle count and stock control activities in line with company and financial requirements. The post holder will only undertake activities that they have undergone training in, and have been successfully signed off to demonstrate competence. Contribute to management of daily warehouse operations as determined by the Senior Management team. Deputise for the General Manager as required. Key Skills Required: Essential: Experience of working in a high volume logistics environment. People management experience Knowledge of warehouse stock systems and processes. Experience using a Warehouse Management System (JDA). Working knowledge of logistics and operations to be able to identify areas for improvement. QA systems knowledge. Desirable: Exposure to collaboratively working with broader business functions to deliver process efficiencies and manage costs. Able to represent and act autonomously on behalf of the department and make sound business decisions. Experience of WMS systems – JDA knowledge would be a distinct advantage. IOSH qualified.
