Job Description
My client is a well-regarded in-house firm. A rare new job vacancy has become available for an experienced final salary, defined benefit pensions administrator to join the team due to growth and increased work volumes/projects at a more senior level. This position is based in Edinburgh with a return to blended working.
In this role, you will be in charge of a book of clients, carrying out full cycle administration for their defined benefit/final salary schemes. This is a technical role, and you will administer all queries in a timely manner to maintain and ensure first-class customer satisfaction. There will be client contact, so you will get to know your clients, and the job requires excellent manual calculation skills. All tasks must be performed in line with company and FCA regulations and inputted into internal databases. Additionally, you will provide support to senior board members, assist less experienced colleagues, and offer training/mentoring where appropriate.
To be considered for this position, you must have exposure to defined benefit/final salary administration experience, either in a third-party environment or in-house. Expert knowledge of DB schemes and the ability to carry out cradle-to-grave calculations is imperative. Excellent IT skills and software knowledge (particularly in Excel) are vital, as are your time management skills and communication abilities, as client satisfaction is paramount.
You will be offered a competitive basic salary and benefits, as well as the opportunity to join a company that prides itself on staff retention during a period of growth, allowing you to build a rewarding career.
This is a truly rare role, so please submit your details for consideration to discuss with Alison Curran prior to submission. All applications will be held in the strictest confidence.
