Role Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Regional Director, the Head of Commercial will be responsible for accurately projecting and managing costs for all feasibility projects and at all stages of individual projects.
1. Lead and nurture the Commercial team, fostering a culture of development and high performance.
2. Play a key strategic role as part of the senior team to develop the strategy for the business going forward, identifying key risks and opportunities, and implementing appropriate actions.
3. Work closely with the Finance Manager/Director to prepare realistic Forecasts/Budgets.
4. Produce monthly Site Analysis Sheets charting financial history of live sites for Management and Project team meetings.
5. Work in partnership with the Construction Director to develop and implement a strategy for ensuring suitable labour and subcontractors are available for the business needs.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
1. Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential.
2. Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the housebuilding market and risk management is preferred, however, it is not essential.
3. Qualifications: Must be a qualified Quantity Surveyor.
4. Proactive Approach: A proactive mindset with excellent multi-tasking, planning, and organisational skills.
5. Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and be commercially astute.
6. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience:
1. Proven experience in a similar senior role.
2. Demonstrated experience in leading a high-performing team.
