As a Support Worker, you will: Work both one-on-one and in small groups to help learners develop essential skills for greater independence, well-being, and social engagement. Implement behaviour-based teaching strategies and interventions to foster positive outcomes. Assist learners in applying their skills in practical, real-life situations, both within our Centre for Lifelong Learning and out in the community. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care, support, and educational assistance to autistic adult learners. Design and deliver lessons and activities that promote skill development and personal growth. Offer behaviourally-informed support to reduce behaviours that impact the quality of life. Assist with personal care, including toileting, dressing, and hygiene, while encouraging learners to maintain these routines independently. Facilitate learners' involvement in social, leisure, and educational activities in the local community. Help learners access work experience and employment opportunities.
