We're currently looking to recruit a HR Associate to be based on site in the South Wales region for a 6-month Fixed Term Contract. The role will involve a high level of case management, coaching of managers and ensuring that both existing and new starter managers are managing their people correctly. You'll be based in either Newport or Cardiff, with occasional travel to other ports within South Wales and a limited amount of national travel. The role presents an excellent development opportunity for someone at an early stage of their HR Career.
You will work closely with the HR Business Partner teams to support the effective implementation of the HR strategy into a defined business area. We're looking for someone who can demonstrate curiosity, seek to understand how HR adds value to a business and is keen to improve HR Processes.

Accountabilities
1. Seek to understand the people plan within the Region/business function, supporting the HRBP team accordingly.
2. Lead on defined projects across the business as required by the HRBP team, for example annual pay review and bonus schemes.
3. Coordinate HR activities as required such as onboarding, recruitment planning and learning needs.
4. Provide support to people managers, and coaching on people processes such as PDR, joiners and leavers. Educate people managers on self-service on MyHR to encourage them to maintain up to date and accurate people and organisational data for their business areas.
5. Run reports and create KPI dashboards to support analysis of people data and trends for relevant business area.
6. Apply HR policies and procedures as appropriate and with the support of the HRBP team provide coaching and guidance to line managers on employee relations cases such as sickness, disciplinaries and grievances.
7. Support in note taking in disciplinary/grievance hearings as required.
8. Prepare highly confidential/sensitive documents/reports where necessary with accurate attention to detail.
