PURPOSE As a key member of the marketing team, the main purpose is to ensure that events and activations are designed and delivered in line with the business strategic goals and needs; always supporting and building on our brand and reputation. You will engage with the following stakeholders: • Marketing team • Internal business units • Customers / Stakeholders • Suppliers Your key responsibilities include: • Event management • Administration • Financial management • Stakeholder management (internal and external): • Strategic alignment • Brand • Identify trends and opportunities aligned best practices around events • Compliance and Risk management • Innovative • Team player QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE • Three-year marketing qualification or similar • Creative thinker • Strategic thinker • Understanding of the payments industry is desirable • Effective project and event management skills • Effective planning and organisational skills • Sound computer literacy Levels: MS Suite • Proficient English language skills • Professional writing skills • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team • Attention to detail • Ability to multitask • Ability to work under pressure • May be required to work after hours and on weekends EXPERIENCE • Min of 7 years’ experience in an events specialist role and events management • Min of 7 years working experience (corporate, entrepreneurial or hospitality) in any industry (financial services would be advantageous) • Evidence of successful events – e.g. product, business / corporate • Digital marketing advantageous
