Job Title: Team Manager Adult Social Care
Contract Length: 3-month initial interim contract
Location: West Midlands based local authority
Working arrangements: Hybrid working.
Pay rate: £45 per hour
IR35 Status: Inside of IR35
I am currently supporting a local authority in the West Midlands in their search for an experienced adult social care manager with a proven track record of leading and developing adult social care services.

Your duties as a Team Manager:
1. You will lead the council’s county team that supports individuals with complex needs such as learning disabilities, mental health, and forensic needs. Linking in with the Younger Adults Team, working with adults under the age of 25 in preparation for adulthood.
2. As part of the role, you will support a team of social workers that work with individuals in receipt of Section 117 aftercare, joint CHC funding, and facilitate safe discharge from hospitals into both community and mental health settings.
Experience needed as a Team Manager:
1. Have demonstrable past experience in leading and working in local government social care teams, specifically in supporting adults with complex needs.
2. Experience in working in partnership with various stakeholders across health, social care, and commissioning.
3. Be a strong communicator with in-depth working knowledge of adult social care legislation and statutory workings within a local authority setting.
4. Able to provide a minimum of two years' worth of references.
