CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting for a Energy Manager.
As a CBRE Energy Manager, you will assist with managing the team responsible for the development and execution of energy management programs.
This job is a part of the Energy and Sustainability functional area which focuses on the development and implementation of environmental and social sustainability programs.
Job Responsibilities
1. Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
2. Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
3. Build and maintain knowledge of current legal and market changes relating to compliance.
4. Communicate with agencies on internal and external forums.
5. Execute strategies and programs to reach client goals.
6. Suggest improvements through the identification and implementation of opportunities across multiple real estate portfolios.
7. Integrate knowledge of energy procurement and new technologies with company platforms. Guide improved energy and sustainability performance.
8. Partner with facility managers to deliver environmental sustainability advice. Present periodic energy and sustainability status and basic variance reports to clients.
9. Verify global energy and sustainability standards are consistently upheld.
10. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
11. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
12. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
Qualifications needed:
1. Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. CEM and LEED accreditation preferred.
2. Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
3. Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
4. Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
5. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
6. Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
