We are a small dynamic team working on interesting and high-profile projects across the globe for some of the largest companies in the world. We use a combination of design, engineering, practical experience and the latest analytical techniques to offer a full range of services designed to mitigate against risk and provide innovative and unmatched glazing solutions.
You may not have bomb blast engineering experience, but you will require experience in structural dynamics with an interest to learn structural resilience and blast engineering.
The role offers the opportunity to work on exciting and varied projects which could include industry-leading research and development, complex blast modelling, design of façade systems and structures against blast loading, and conducting physical testing to validate calculations.
Responsible for design, engineering, producing calculations, computational models, reports, and presentations.
Opportunities for planning and implementing practical research and development within our test facilities and external test sites.
Coordinating other members of the project team and contributing to internal technical development.
Mentoring and assisting less experienced Engineers whilst maintaining your continued professional development.
Desirable to have a minimum of 5 years engineering experience in either blast, façades or dynamic structural engineering.
A Bachelor’s degree BEng / BSc or Master’s degree MEng / MSc in a relevant Engineering discipline.
Desirable to have achieved ‘Chartered Engineer’ Member of the ICE or IStructE with the Engineering Council UK or equivalent body or be working towards ‘Chartered Engineer’ and will be ready for review with a recognised professional Institution within the next 2 years.
Can solve engineering problems using suitable methods of analysis, including hand calculations and computational analysis using proprietary software.
Broad design knowledge, including codes of practice, gained from working on a range of different projects. Developed drawing and sketching skills, able to illustrate engineering details and concepts.
