Your Role as Deputy SENCO:
🔹 Support the SENCO in leading and managing the school’s SEN provision.
🔹 Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure effective SEN support.
🔹 Assist in identifying students with SEN and coordinating Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs) and targeted interventions.
🔹 Provide training and guidance to teachers on differentiation, inclusive teaching strategies, and behaviour management.
🔹 Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student progress and well-being.
🔹 Support the monitoring of student progress and data analysis to ensure tailored interventions meet individual needs.
🔹 Play a key role in shaping the school’s inclusive policies and SEN strategies.
Who We’re Looking For:
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working with students with SEN.
✅ Previous experience as a SENCO, Deputy SENCO, or strong SEN teaching experience.
✅ A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes.
✅ Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
✅ A passion for inclusive education and ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
✅ NASENCO qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
