The Role
As a Neonatal Nurse, your duties will be centred around ensuring the health and well-being of the vulnerable infants in your care. You’ll monitor and assess vital signs, administer medications, and provide essential treatments to ensure proper development, as well as assisting with feeding, supporting parents in caring for their newborns, and educating families on infant care and growth milestones. In the neonatal intensive care unit, you’ll operate and maintain specialised equipment such as incubators and ventilators. A crucial part of your role will be advocating for the emotional needs of both infants and parents, creating a nurturing and supportive environment throughout their NICU experience.
