Description | Salary £23,152 per annum (Pro rata) | Permanent, Part Time, 3 hours per week (Term time only) | Chorley Music Centre | Pay Award Pending International Sponsorship - This role is not open to international sponsorship ABOUT THE ROLE Lancashire Music Service (LMS) is a business unit working within Lancashire County Council in a competitive environment, generating business and providing outstanding standards of customer care for both internal and external customers. The Business Support Team is focused on supporting and maintaining these standards and has a significant role in the continuing expansion of the Music Service by displaying a professional attitude and commitment to the delivery of a first class administrative service in all aspects of our business. LMS provides tuition, ensembles and support to meet the needs of children wishing to learn to play a musical instrument. The service has over 170 specialist teachers delivering weekly tuition to over 18,000 pupils with in excess of 26,000 instruments on loan to schools/parents across the county at any one time. LMS enables pupils to develop their musical skills further through a range of bands and orchestras. 11 Music Centres meet in the evenings providing a range of ensembles from beginner to advanced levels. Six County Ensembles rehearse at weekends catering for the needs of advanced pupils. Lancashire Music Service is looking to recruit at Chorley Music Centre, Chorley a Grade 3 Business Support Officer who will assist the Head of Centre and be responsible for undertaking the front of house duties, ensuring students are registered in and out of the centre on a weekly basis, maintaining medical records, registers and any other administration tasks set by the Head of Centre.
