Job Summary:
As a CNC Operator, you will play a key role in producing high-quality optical components. Working with advanced CNC equipment, including 3-axis CNC milling, high-speed spindle polishers, and diamond turning machines, you will help the company achieve the high standards required for precision optics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate CNC machinery to manufacture optical components to exacting standards
* Set up machines and prepare materials specific to optical applications
* Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications for precision optics
* Conduct in-process inspections to ensure each piece meets strict quality requirements
* Maintain and adjust CNC equipment as necessary, troubleshooting minor issues on the spot
* Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean, organized workspace suited for precision manufacturing
* Accurately record production data and complete necessary documentation
Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience as a CNC operator or machinist
* Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings
* Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
